[solved] Touch pad is not working after updating arch linux

After an update  touch pad stopped working in my arch machine . The arch wiki has something in it to resolve  this.

The cause for the issue was:

the file 50-synaptics.conf  was not there in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ .

And the workaround is:

so if your touch pad is not working, this also can be a reason for that , to solve this specific issue copy the 50-synaptics.conf from /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/ and paste in etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/. And a reboot…
